Baptism (christening) is the sacrament by which children and adults are welcomed into the fellowship of the Church. You are welcome to have your child baptised at St George's. With the support of the church, you and your child's godparents, your child will begin an amazing journey of faith.
We also baptise young people and adults who wish to declare their faith in Jesus Christ, and to commit themselves to following him.
Baptisms at St George's normally take place on the first Sunday of the month, and are part of the regular weekly service. If you would prefer to arrange a baptism on a different Sunday, that can be done as well.
All you need to know about planning and going to a Church of England baptism can be found on: churchofenglandchristenings.org.
It also includes information about another church service to say thank you to God for your baby.
If you would like to be baptised, or arrange for the baptism/christening of your children, contact the Revd Tim Yeager. firstname.lastname@example.org (email) or call 07804 614245 (phone).
