HELPING REFUGEES


The government of the UK has indicated that it will allow 20,000 refugees to have asylum from the war-torn parts of the world over the next five years.  Many of the Bishops of the Church of England have called upon the Prime Minister to take more.  If you would like to give your opinion to decision-makers about the refugee issue, you may contact the Prime Minister and/or our Member of Parliament:

GREENWICH WINTER

NIGHT SHELTER


The Parish of East Greenwich was one of the founding groups of the Greenwich Winter Night Shelter, which provides food, fellowship and a safe place to sleep during the winter months to homeless people in our community.  St George's is the venue on Tuesday nights, January through March. With the other sites of the Shelter, we serve up to fifteen (15) people per night.
