Schools Partnership

As a parish, we have a close relationship with the Koinonia Federation of St Mary Magdalene Peninsula and Christ Church C of E Primary School. The full-time chaplain for the Koinonia Federation is also an Assistant Priest for the Parish.

The school regularly visit Christ Church in the parish for service and members of our Parish Ministry Team go into all the school sites to lead collective worship, for which the Koinonia Federation has a three-year cycle of themes.

The Parish is closely involved with the Charlton Deanery schools project which seeks to promote relationships between
Deanery churches and schools. The project usually offers the Christmas Journey at five of our Deanery churches including Christ Church for Year 2 classes from our Deanery schools.

The previous Team Rector was one of the Co- Vice Chairs of the Governing Body and chaired the Ethos Committee. The Chair of the Governing Body and one of the other Co-Vice Chairs are members of the PCC
